The grass is greener where you water it
Envision mornings with an overflowing cup — where the sunrays feel a little warmer and your ambition is nourished with ritual and art. In all you do, whether you’re building a business, creating art, or curating spaces, follow your creative rhythm toward new horizons.
If you’re launching or growing a business, work with me at Oava for branding and design —
There are four elements of a creative life:
⁛ Tenacity
When you create anyways, you embody a persistence and tenacity that allows your ideas to evolve and adapt.
〰 Momentum
Be a force of nature; steady, flowing, moving through your environment with intention…your flow state.
𓆸 Verve
Embrace your verdant and wild enthusiasm for life and beauty. Your unique eye is something to celebrate.
☄ Wonder
Continue to see the world with fresh eyes — be curious about it, and never stop learning.
Thriving is inevitable.

I spend every day making something, whether that’s simply my morning cortado, a new brand, a new font, or some other random side project - creating is my second nature.
In all of the worlds I’ve created in real life and on the web, I hope it sparks in you meaning, joy, and wonder in all that is around us.
And if you’re curious to know more, I grew up in Albuquerque and Dallas. My original career was in animation before I used my business administration degree from UTD to branch on out on my own and start freelance designing. That led me to Austin where I launched Oava.
In 2021 I made my first font and it spurred an obsession with the artistry and puzzle-solving that comes with designing type faces. You can find more via my foundry, Heatwave.
My little companion is Ginger, a mini aussie - a double merle (or tweed merle) with the cutest curly hair. She’s spunky and loves to be outside somehow even more than I do.
Often I’m outdoors with Ginger and my fiance, along with his dog, Lily. The four of us endlessly love good food, fresh air, and dreaming up new businesses to start.
Meet Meg
